Swimming lessons can save lives

The Sir Lowry’s Pass pre-school kids resumed their swimming lessons last week, after the winter holiday. Now that we have our own bus, it’s all running even more smoothly.

The final phase has started. By the end of the year, the kids should feel secure in the water; whether as great swimmers or simply to be able to rescue themselves to the shallow end. This really depends on the individual child’s capabilities. Some kids require a lot of encouragement, even just to dare put their face under water. These children have usually not had the opportunity to play around in paddling pools before. Moreover, children and even adults drown time and time again, making it seem scary for many.

Therefore, we are all the more grateful, that we can give these kids a gift for life, and enable them to move safely and securely in the water. Don’t you agree, that even if this only saves one child from drowning, the whole project has already been worth it? All of this is only possible thanks to the many friends of Einfachhelfen.org. Thank you very much.
